We use many venues and ways to facilitate merit badge training. This includes of our own in house merit badge counselors with many talents and skills. Within our own unit we offer Merit Badge Counselors for the following:
American Business, American Heritage, Backpacking, Hiking, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communications, Computers, Cooking, Cycling, Dentistry, Dog Care, Family Life, Hiking, Orienteering, Public Speaking, Salesmanship, and many more!

The Detroit Zoo - Scout Quest! - Reptile & Amphibian Merit Badge - Call for availability throughout the year approx. $30 per scout! 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays!
Trail To Eagle - A week long camp designed to work on the final requirements for Eagle such as remaining Eagle Scout Merit Badges. (Note: This Camp is held at D-A during the time Troop 1490 attends Summer Camp at Cole Canoe Base)
Alpine Valley - Offers Snow Sport Merit Badges, typically once or twice a year.
